Retirees are learning to cash in on the “work online” craze. Actually, there’s nothing crazy about it, because people who can learn to market their goods and services online can really take advantage of a huge megatrend going on right now, and that’s the trend of ordering online.
Most people don’t even use a computer to order online now! They use their phones.
With concerns about inadequate income from pensions, investments, and other sources after retirement being at an all-time high, many retirees (or soon-to-be retirees) are exploring online marketing as a way to earn extra money after retirement. To some retirees, like my colleague Rob Tepper, they’re finding that they make more money on their after-retirement job than they ever did on their regular jobs. So, whether you’re really hungry because you never found the income you wanted in a 9-to-5 job or whether you were highly successful before retirement, you have elements you can bring to an online job that will serve you well. You’ve either got a burning hunger, a history of success, or both.
Passion is a great seller online, and I’m not talking about those dating emails you get in your spam folder. I’m talking about bringing your passion to the masses to teach, stimulate thought, solve problems, or all three. For example, one lady brought her passion for knitting to an online market and became a millionaire. Can you imagine that? Other people bring their passions for travel, for healing, for finances, or any other subject under the sun.
You’ve got a zillion ways to bring your passion to the market, such as blogging, YouTube, Facebook, and many other advertising resources like AdWords, banners, and solo ads. Recognize what your passion is, learn how to get your offer in front of other people who share that passion, and you might be the next millionaire.
Are there special challenges for retirees trying to work online? Sure! You might need a pair of bifocals. You might need to brush up on this new way of marketing via the Internet. You might have to do some thinking about what you really stand for and what you care about. But usually, the challenge is not about having enough money to invest in a business. One of the courses I recommend only costs $49 to register, and you’ll learn step by step what it takes to start and prosper using an online presence.
Just as real as the challenges are the amazing success stories from people who have made huge incomes online with some guidance from the experts. As always, I’m here to help you, so reach out or leave me a comment below.
