Are you a little worried that your social security payments or pension won’t be enough to retire, but still interested in having the freedom and flexible schedule that retirement affords? Try doing what millions of people around the world are now doing with great success: Work online.
When you make the leap to becoming your own boss and dictating how you want to direct your own energies, you might find that the monetary rewards are just as good as the spiritual rewards. After all, don’t most people in the world long for work that makes them feel good? While others trod off to a part-time job that sucks the life blood out of them, and others sit at home in an impoverished state of retirement, you can find work that fulfills your sense of purpose and brings in the coin, too.
Self-help industries have long been utilizing the Internet to get their message out there. They make YouTube videos and post it to their channel. Then they create a Facebook page and put a small, enticing summary of the video or some kind of teaser there, and their Facebook Friends click on the video and watch. Whether they’re selling coaching classes, books, meditation CDs, or whatever, the self-help gurus know how to use the power of the Internet. (It isn’t magic.)
Weight-loss gurus do the same thing. They start a trend on Twitter and get their videos, links to products, or sale information out to thousands, and let the re-Tweeting work its magic.
If you’re making money online and you want to show others how to do the same, then you follow the same formula.
You see, success in working online has to do with one simple equation:
Traffic + Conversions = Sales
Even the self-help gurus know that without sales, the business is unsustainable. They don’t sit around and pray or meditate. They take action, put samples of their work on the Internet, drive traffic to their samples by placing ads on various websites, and hope that their visitors, the ones taking advantage of introductory free gifts, will someday buy something substantial.
But they don’t just hope. They know it’s a mathematical certainty.
Unless your material is pretty rotten (and some of the stuff out there really is!), sooner or later, you’ll find people who like you, like your stuff, want to know more, and eventually buy.
So, next time you catch yourself playing “isn’t it awful?” when it comes to your retirement income, start searching the Internet. Find out if it’s possible for you to work online to enhance your retirement income. Chances are, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
